Back in March, I wrote a post about having trouble writing fanfic, but slowly getting used to it. I’m still chipping away at the fics I was talking about, which are all just about 1k words short (or less). However, this week I also finished my third fic for BBC’s Wolf! The first one I finished at the start of August, and the second two weeks ago. They’re all very short, only around 1 to 2k words each, but I’m still shocked I managed to finalize any of them. It’s probably a testament to how much I like the Honey/Molina dynamic.

They’re not exactly great works of literature, but I am proud of myself for drafting, revising, and wrapping them up in 6 weeks. I haven’t been able to put that many words of fiction to paper since… man, since at least a decade ago.

I have one more idea that might make a fun short for me to write, as well as one that would actually require me to do some in-depth plotting, which would be an interesting challenge as I haven’t done that in years.

I do need to focus on some life stuff for now, so those will have to wait. I’m also feeling a bit self-conscious about simultaneously clogging up #bbc wolf on Tumblr with my GIFs and taking up 75% of the AO3 tag with my fics, so that’d hit two birds with one stone.

Oh, and lest I forget: You would not believe how hyped I was when I saw that someone else had posted a ficlet for Wolf. I enjoyed The Monster In My Bed so much I went back and did another couple of revisions for Garbage Disposal that I think it really benefited from.
